We want customers to know exactly what is protected and what remains part of their original conservatory. These terms explain the ten-year guarantee that accompanies an eligible Sagars 365 conservatory roof insulation installation.
What is covered
The guarantee runs for ten years from the completion date shown on the original customer paperwork. It covers:
- Insulation materials supplied and installed by Sagars 365 as part of the contracted insulation system.
- Sealants supplied and applied by Sagars 365 as part of that insulation installation.
- The repair or replacement of the affected covered material where our inspection confirms that it has failed during the guarantee period.
We will decide the appropriate repair after inspecting the installation. Cover is limited to the failed covered part and the reasonable work needed to put that part right.
Important distinction
This is not a guarantee for the original conservatory roof
Our insulation system is installed beneath a suitable existing conservatory roof. The work does not replace the retained roof, glazing, panels, framework or supporting structure.
Some older roofs have wear, deterioration, failed seals, hidden defects or leaks before insulation work begins. This guarantee does not make Sagars 365 responsible for an existing roof fault or promise that retained roof components will remain watertight for ten years.
If a visible fault is identified during the survey, we will explain it. Any repair or replacement must be included separately in the written quotation to be covered.
What is not covered
Unless a particular item was supplied and installed by Sagars 365 and is expressly included in the written quotation, this guarantee does not cover:
- Leaks, faults or deterioration that existed before our installation.
- Existing glass, polycarbonate or other roof panels.
- Roof bars, ridge caps, end caps, flashing, gutters, windows, doors or frames.
- The conservatory base, foundations, brickwork or supporting structure.
- Water entering through any component we did not supply or replace.
- Structural movement, settlement, subsidence or deterioration of the existing conservatory.
- Storm, flood, fire, accidental damage, misuse or deliberate damage.
- Damage following alteration, interference or repair by another contractor or the homeowner.
- Condensation arising from ventilation, heating, humidity or the condition of the existing conservatory.
- Cosmetic changes that do not affect the intended function of the insulation system.
Who is covered
The guarantee belongs to the original customer named on the Sagars 365 contract and proof of purchase. It cannot be sold, assigned or transferred to another person.
The guarantee ends if the property is sold or ownership changes. A new homeowner does not inherit this guarantee, although the original customer’s statutory rights remain unaffected.
How to make a claim
Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after noticing a potential problem. To help us assess it efficiently, provide:
- The original customer’s name and installation address.
- The order, contract or invoice number.
- Photographs or other reasonable evidence of the issue.
- Reasonable access for a Sagars 365 representative to inspect the installation.
Except where urgent action is reasonably necessary to prevent further damage, please do not arrange a third-party repair before we have had a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue.
Other Sagars products
This page applies to eligible conservatory roof insulation installations sold with the ten-year insulation materials and sealant guarantee.
Solid roof replacements, EcoSlate365 systems, replacement windows, glass units, doors, electrical items, plastering and other additional work may have separate guarantee periods and conditions. The cover for those products will be stated in the relevant written quotation, contract or guarantee paperwork.
Statutory rights
This guarantee is provided in addition to the customer’s statutory rights. Nothing on this page limits or replaces those rights.
